Baghdad: Al-Zawraa football team achieved an important 2-0 victory over their guests, Al-Minaa, on Sunday. The match took place at the Al-Zawraa International Stadium in the capital Baghdad and concluded the eighth round of the Iraqi Stars League. Despite the cold weather, a good audience attended. Al-Zawraa performed well and managed to threaten Al-Minaa's goal several times, but they could have scored more than one goal. However, haste and the skill of Al-Minaa's defense, led by veteran Faisal Jasim, and behind them, goalkeeper Ali Abadi, wasted many scoring opportunities for Al-Zawraa players.
