Kuwaiti Footballer Ready to Resolve Conflict with Iraqi Club

Kuwaiti national team football player Eid Rashidi, who plays for the Iraqi Air Force club, has expressed his readiness to resolve the current crisis with the club's management through mutual agreement. Rashidi confirmed that "he does not intend to return to play for the Iraqi Air Force club for several reasons that are not worth mentioning", while adding that "he is fully ready to solve the current problem with the club's management through mutual agreement". On the other hand, a source in the Iraqi Air Force club mentioned that "the Kuwaiti professional, Eid Rashidi, contacted the management of the Iraqi Air Force Sports Club and apologized for not returning to play for its first team again, confirming his readiness to terminate his contract with the Iraqi club by mutual agreement". It is recalled that Rashidi is the first Kuwaiti professional to play in the Iraqi Stars League. He had shown a good performance with the Iraqi Air Force club, but the outbreak of the recent war in the region led to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Baghdad asking him to return to Kuwait, which the Iraqi Air Force club's management considered a violation of the official contract signed with Rashidi, and they intend to file a complaint against Rashidi with FIFA. However, fearing for his football future, Rashidi is seeking to resolve the dispute by mutual agreement. It is expected that next week, Rashidi's case with the Iraqi Air Force club's management will be resolved amicably due to the mediation of Iraqi and Kuwaiti parties to avoid resorting to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
