The Iraqi city of Mosul authorities have arrested a man who burned his wife due to family problems. According to a statement from the Nineveh Province Police, the perpetrator, who is a doctor, attacked his wife, who is also a doctor. He broke the window of the car where his wife was, threw gasoline on her face, and set her on fire. As a result, the woman suffered burns to her face and hands. The victim was hospitalized in one of Mosul's hospitals, where her condition is critical. She has second and third-degree burns covering approximately 40% of her body. Legal measures have been taken against the man. "The suspect, a doctor, attacked his wife, who is also a doctor, due to family problems," the police statement said. The attack occurred in the Al-Rukail area in western Mosul. Thanks to the cooperation of the Abu Tamim Police Department and the Information Technology Intelligence Department, as well as reviewing surveillance cameras, the suspect was arrested in the Sarhan area.
