The Minister of National Security of Iraq, Kassem al-Araji, stated that the reduction of American foreign aid may affect the fight against ISIS in the country. "We would like to see a sustained such support in the near future, as it has important significance for resistance to terrorism, especially in light of the threat from ISIS," al-Araji noted. He also emphasized that Iraq needs international assistance not only in the field of security but also in economic and social aspects. "We hope that our partners in addressing the issue of international assistance will understand the importance of support for ensuring stability in the region," the minister added.
