Buenos Aires, March 23 (NA) – The Popular Mobilization Forces (FMP), an Iraqi paramilitary group, reported on Monday that U.S. and Israeli airstrikes hit two of their bases, causing no casualties. Two FMP statements indicated that their 15th and 27th Brigades were targeted by U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, which did not result in any deaths but did cause material losses. In recent days, dozens of FMP members have died in what the group claims were U.S. and Israeli operations, according to the Argentine News Agency. Meanwhile, a security source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua that a defense system shot down an explosive drone near Erbil International Airport in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region, causing no casualties. The attacks occurred amid rising regional tensions following joint U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran, which began on February 28, to which Iran and its regional allies responded with attacks on Israeli and U.S. interests across the Middle East.
