The Iraqi Football Federation has announced, via its official social media accounts, the list of 'Lions of the Tigris' players participating in the 2025 AFC Arab Cup in Qatar.
Iraq will play in Group D, which also includes Algeria and the winner of the match between Bahrain and Djibuti, in addition to the winner of the match between Lebanon and Sudan.
Here is the squad for the Lions of the Tigris:
Goalkeepers: Jalal Hassan, Ahmed Basel, Fahd Talib.
Defenders: Mitham Jabbar, Munaf Younis, Aakam Hashem, Saad Natah, Mustafa Saadoon, Ahmed Hassan Moknzi, Ahmed Yahya.
Midfielders: Hussein Ali Jasim, Amir Sabah, Osama Rashid, Karar Nabil, Ibrahim Baish, Sajjad Jasim, Marco Fajr, Hassan Abdel Karim, Ali Jasim.
Forwards: Ayman Hussein, Muhammad Ali, Amar Mohsin, Muhammad Jawad.
A total of 16 national teams will compete for the title of the 2025 AFC Arab Cup in Qatar, from December 1 to 18. The opening match will be hosted at Al Bayt Stadium on December 1 at 19:30 Qatar time, between the Qatar national team and the winner of the Palestine vs Libya match. The final will be hosted at Lusail Stadium on December 18.
Earlier, the FIFA website had announced the start of ticket sales for the 2025 AFC Arab Cup in Qatar, with prices starting from 25 Qatari riyals.
