On Thursday evening, the Administrative Board of Najaf Sports Club in Iraq held a press conference announcing a full suspension of all club activities. The decision was taken because of the cessation of governmental support and the failure of the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate funds to sports clubs.
Club officials emphasized that without adequate funding, further operations are impossible and appealed to the public for support in initiatives to restore funding.
