The Iraqi National Olympic Committee has dissolved the administrative board of Al-Najaf Sports Club and appointed a temporary administration to prepare for new elections. The decision was made following a meeting focused on strengthening the football team.

The temporary administrative board of Al- Najaf Sports Club was formed with Hatif Shamaran as president, one of the most prominent coaches who has supervised the first team of Al-Najaf for years. Abbas Mahdi was appointed as vice president, Abdel-Baqi Tjail Naama as secretary, and Hussein Adnan Abbas as treasurer. According to a statement from the club's media office, "the meeting primarily focused on reinforcing the squad of the first team of Al-Zawraa Football Club during the winter transfer window, emphasizing the importance of signing distinguished players capable of strengthening the team, especially regarding professional players, in line with the vision and requirements of the team's technical staff led by Egyptian coach Emad Al-Naghas." The Iraqi National Olympic Committee decided to dissolve the administrative board of Al-Najaf Sports Club and also decided to form a temporary board to manage the club and prepare for new elections for the next administration board.
