The Iraqi national football team left the Jordanian capital of Amman on Friday, heading to the Mexican city of Monterrey to prepare for the decisive World Cup playoff match. The Iraqi delegation had traveled overland from the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, to Amman on Thursday. Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Omar Al-Brazangi, met with the team before its departure. The Iraqi team is preparing to face the winner of the match between Bolivia and Surinam, scheduled to take place on the first of next month. After meeting with the head of the football federation, Ambassador Al-Brazangi commented on the situation.
