Al- Najaf football team returned to the path of victories after a long absence, defeating Diyala team 2-1 in the 24th round of the Iraqi Stars League. The match, held at Diyala Stadium, brought crucial points to Al-Najaf. The visitors scored first: Sajad Alaa scored in the 22nd minute, and Muhammad Jasim in the 44th. Diyala's only goal was scored by Hussein Younis in the 70th minute, but it wasn't enough to save the team. This result allowed Al-Najaf to reach 14 points and remain in 19th (second to last) place, while Diyala, with 28 points, held onto 15th place.
