A serviceman from Iraq discovered weapons and explosive devices left by militants of the terrorist organization ISIS near the town of Kirkuk.

The soldier was conducting a reconnaissance operation in the area controlled by government forces after the liberation from the militants' group. During the patrol of the militants, detainees were apprehended on charges of involvement with ISIS, who were able to destroy the weapons.

"The found weapons and explosives were hidden in trenches and caves to be used in terrorist acts against peaceful civilians and servicemen," noted the commander overseeing the operation.

According to him, the discovered materials were extracted and destroyed by a special service, which allowed for the prevention of possible attacks in the region.
