The Iraqi Central Oil Company successfully completed the first operation to take a rock sample from the Tanum formation in the Al-Ahdab oil field in Wasit province. The operation was carried out as part of the evaluation of well (ADT-7-3H) and is the first of its kind for the field. The length of the collected sample reached 28.7 meters with a 100% recovery rate. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the company's General Engineer, Mohammad Yassin Hassan, in coordination with the Chinese operating company as part of a strategic plan. Initial results showed excellent hydrocarbon indicators, consistent with previous geological assessments.
