
On Thursday, the Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced an increase in oil export volume in August to meet the increased global demand for energy. According to the ministry's statement, the planned August export volume is 3.85 million barrels per day. This figure includes exports from Kurdistan and oil volumes sold through the Kirkuk – Ceyhan pipeline. 'The Ministry of Oil is working at full capacity to satisfy market demands,' the ministry's statement said. In June, Iraq exported 3.47 million barrels per day, while in July, the volume was 3.57 million barrels per day. It is important to note that Iraq is the second largest oil producer in OPEC after Saudi Arabia.
