The International Organization for Agricultural and Rural Development, known as FAO, published a report on the forecast of yield and production situation for the current year. According to the report, it is expected that the level of grain production worldwide will reach a new record in 2021. This is partly due to the increased production of wheat and corn in many countries. It is noted that yields in Africa, the Near East, and in some Asian countries will rise due to favorable weather conditions and measures to support rural agriculture. However, FAO also warns of instability in production and supply of grains due to geopolitical conflicts, pandemics, and climate variability. Such factors may negatively impact food production security in certain regions. "The growth of grain production in many countries occurs, but at the same time, we must apply efforts to ensure sustainable and reliable supplies of food production worldwide," FAO added.
