Attawan Attawani, the chairman of the financial committee in the Iraqi parliament, stated on Sunday that the Iraqi government is seriously focused on achieving energy independence. This was also confirmed by Daniel Rubinstein. "The Iraqi energy program for energy security is very important for ensuring social stability in the country," noted Rubinstein. He also added that this program will help create jobs and support economic growth in Iraq.

Iraqi government representatives assert that the country is intent on developing its oil and gas sector, as well as increasing electricity production. Among the plans, the modernization of energy sector infrastructure and increased investments in this field is also discussed.

"Our goal is to ensure stability in energy supply and achieve full independence of the country from imported oil and gas," emphasized Attawan.
