The central bank has called for licensed financial institutions to create a separate subdivision responsible for management and data protection.
This proposal emphasizes the importance of ensuring information security in the financial sector. As indicated in the Central Bank, such a step is necessary to protect client data and ensure their confidentiality.
"We recommend that all small and large financial institutions create a special subdivision dedicated to information management issues and ensuring its security," noted the Central Bank.
This requirement has become relevant after a series of incidents when client data was leaked from banks due to insufficient protection measures. The special subdivision will monitor that all data is stored and processed in accordance with legislation on the protection of personal data.
