On Sunday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior reported the seizure of 1100 kg of the narcotic "captagon," which had arrived from Syria.

According to the ministry representative, the operation to detain the narcotics was conducted jointly with the narcotics control organization and law enforcement. The narcotics were hidden in a special secret compartment in a truck that had crossed the border between Iraq and Syria.

The seized narcotic cargo consisted of a multitude of packs, each containing captagon pills. According to experts, this narcotic is one of the most dangerous in the world and is widely distributed in the Middle East.

The ministry representative also emphasized the importance of conducting similar operations to combat drug trafficking and crime, and thanked the employees involved in the successful seizure of the narcotics.
