According to information from two sources from the oil and gas industry, on Sunday there was an attack by a drone on the gas facility Khur Mur in Iraqi Kurdistan.
The sources also reported that there were explosions and fires following the attack, but details about the extent of the damage are not known. They noted that gas production at the site, which is operated by a gas company in Iraq and foreign partners, was not affected.
The air defense forces of the regional Kurdish government confirmed the incident and added that the investigation of the incident is ongoing.
"We are working to determine whether the attack targeted the gas infrastructure or not," said representatives of the Kurdish forces.
