This is stated in a communiqué issued following their meeting. They discussed issues of supporting Iraq in the fight against terrorism, restoring infrastructure, and solving humanitarian problems. The parties also touched upon the topic of holding free and fair elections in the country. "We appreciate the support of the UN and are ready for further cooperation," said the Prime Minister. The UN Secretary-General, in turn, emphasized the importance of stability in Iraq for the entire region.
