A senior advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs, Farhad Ala al-Din, confirmed that the Iraqi government places great importance on strengthening bilateral relations with Russia. He noted that Baghdad is interested in developing cooperation in various fields, including economy, energy, and security. According to him, these relations are based on mutual respect and common interests. At the same time, Ala al-Din emphasized the importance of dialogue for resolving regional and international issues. He also confirmed Iraq's commitment to the principles of international law and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
