Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani discussed bilateral relations and regional stability in a phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the conversation, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Baghdad and Washington. The Iraqi prime minister also raised the issue of supporting his country's sovereignty and territorial integrity. "We appreciate US support in the fight against terrorism and seek to further develop our relations," al-Sudani stated. The US Secretary of State, in turn, reaffirmed Washington's commitment to partnership with Iraq.
